Penske 7338 shock

The Car of Tomorrow is running on its bump stops bringing a new challenge to shock absorber suppliers such as Penske. The majority of current COT competitors use an approved shock absorber supplied by Penske Racing Shocks of Reading, Pennsylvania. Jim Arentz is the Technical Director of Penske Racing Shocks, which is involved in many forms of professional racing, including Formula One. All of the NASCAR professional categories use its shocks and Adam Lambert is the manager for this program. We caught up with him at the 2007 Bank of America 500, to discuss the technology applied to the COT.
