Cracked Eggs And Sugar Cubes, Debunking Engine Myths

« Posted by admin on January 10, 2012 »

Have you ever had a radiator leak in the middle of nowhere? Have you ever heard about using an egg to temporarily stop the engine leak and get you to a mechanic? It does work, although only temporarily and only for very minor pinholes or the tiniest cracks. After consulting with a master mechanic, it appears to be true. The egg whites will seal very small leaks. Don’t think this will get you far though. Egg will eventually deteriorate and the leak will come back. Additionally, when you get the leak fixed properly, make sure the cooling system is flushed to get rid of all the remaining egg white.

For the person who is looking for a way to seek revenge on an enemy, putting sugar cubes in their gas tanks will not work. It has been thought for a long time that sugar in someone’s gas tank will destroy the fuel injectors and cause the car not to run. This just isn’t true. The molecular weight of gas compared to the molecular weight of sugar doesn’t allow for the sugar to do anything but dissolve slightly and then sink to the bottom of the gas tank with the other debris. The end result: no drivability difference at all.

« Posted by www.theworldmotorsportmarketplace.com on October 8, 2010 »

Buy it now price: 12.00Click to view auction: HEREDo you love the feel of the open ocean wind blowing through your hair as your face is freshly misted by the parting sea beneath you? You simply can’t get enough of that wave-running rumble as you twist the accelerator full throttle towards an oncoming wake? Unfortunately, there’s no app for that. Black Leather Motorcycle Biker Vest w/ 23 Patches

« Posted by www.theworldmotorsportmarketplace.com on October 5, 2010 »

Buy it now price: 29.95Click to view auction: HEREAfter you buy a bike, new riders will soon learn you simply can’t fake the biker badboy look without the appropriate attire. For the more contemporary aspiring biker, this 23 patch leather vest will help to provide all the street cred (open road cred, to be more accurate) one could possibly hope for, seamlessly blending the increasingly popular trend towards no-sleeve outerwear with witty one-liners and intimidating icons that convey authentic biker attitude. Let your vest do the talking with gems like “Ride it like you stole it” and “Bad ass boys ride bad ass toys,” so even men of few words can instantly speak volumes about who not to mess with. If perhaps you think a vest a is a little too metro, maybe more Seacrest than Seagal (Ryan and Steven respectively), consider ditching the undershirt ensemble all together, leaving the passerby world free to read arm tats at their own peril, also avoiding any “conceal and carry” confusion with your guns fully exposed to each and every onlooker. « Posted by www.theworldmotorsportmarketplace.com on October 3, 2010 »

Buy it now price: 1,200Click to view auction: HEREYes, there is something to be said for rolling up in a brand spanking new ATV, freshly painted with top of the line safety features. On the other hand, a timeless classic not only gets you from A to B, but also provides decades of history, a vintage feel and an automatic conversation piece. With this archetypal Honda model, enjoy the same 250CC engine power that helped Moses outrun the dinosaurs in a world before paved roads.Originally hailing from the decade of disco, this 1977 ATV runs like a newer machine, complete with the stylings of yesteryear. Though predominantly used for off-roading, the ’77 ODYSSEY might as well be a time machine, taking your mind on a one way trip to a better time, when there were no bigger concerns than gaining the night’s entry into Studio 51 and/or pairing a pleated pair of bellbottoms with the properly sequined shirt. Of course, in a sweet ride like this one, drivers look fly no matter what the attire. A faded yellow exterior combined with an Atari-esque steering wheel makes this particular ATV irreverently retro, perfect for any nostalgia filled motor enthusiast or modern day Andretti who knows how to tastefully bring back the basics.
